The RCB skipper cited his fearless mentality and willingness to take on the bowlers without fear of being dismissed as the key behind his explosive form, guiding his team to an emphatic 92-run win over Gujarat Titans.Patidar tore through the opposition with a 33-ball 93 not out, an innings studded with nine sixes and five fours, which took RCB to a record-breaking 254 for five – the highest total ever in an IPL knockout match.In reply, Gujarat Titans were completely bowled out and bundled out for 162 in 19.3 overs as the defending champions made it to their second consecutive IPL final.“(It was a) super game for us, the way the batsmen dominated, attacking with intent, it was good for us. It wasn’t a clear plan, but we were ready for it, some body language has to show that we are ready for you, every batsman showed that, attacking mentality,” Patidar told the broadcaster after the match.“I take a few balls, 8-10 balls to see how the wicket is and then I have a clear mind to go about it, I’m not worried about my wicket. I try to put the bowler under pressure.“The wicket was not easy to go under the ball and hit, it had variable bounce.
