JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Analysis
According to students and subject experts, Paper 1 of JEE Advanced 2026 was moderately to extremely difficult. Mathematics was considered the most difficult and longest section, while Physics largely tested students’ conceptual understanding. Chemistry, although relatively balanced, was described as difficult and challenging.Paper 2 was also reported to be highly conceptual and time-consuming, especially the mathematics section, which many candidates found difficult.Paper 1 pattern consisted of four single correct questions (SCQs), four multiple choice questions (MCQs), four matrix match questions, and four numerical type questions. There was no negative marking for Integer-type questions, while MCQs, SCQs, and Matrix Match questions carried a penalty of one mark for wrong answers.Meanwhile, Paper 2 consisted of 18 questions divided into two paragraphs. The paper consisted of four single-correct questions (+3, -1), five multiple-correct questions (+4, -1), five number-type questions (+4, -1), and four paragraph-based questions (+2, 0).IIT Roorkee released the admit cards for the exam on 11 May 2026. The admit card contained important details like candidate’s name, roll number, examination centre, reporting time, and instructions regarding documents required at the examination venue.The JEE Advanced 2026 result is scheduled to be declared on June 1.
