Bob Odenkirk While filming the final season of ‘Better Call Saul’, he’s opening up like never before about his near-death experience. Recalling that he had a heart attack on the sets of the movie, the actor revealed that in 2021 it was much more serious than the tabloids and fans thought. While promoting his film ‘Normal’, Odenkirk spoke to The Times UK and reflected on what happened on the set of 2021 in New Mexico. “I went down and Rhea Seehorn and Patrick Fabian grabbed me and they were yelling, but the crew who noticed thought they were laughing,” Odenkirk said. “So there were delays in reacting because we were all too far from each other.”The actor, who rose to fame playing Saul Goodman in ‘Better Call Saul’, the prequel to ‘Breaking Bad’, said he regained consciousness at the hospital and learned the details of the incident. He revealed, “I was gone. I turned gray.” He also said the doctor on the sets “didn’t know what to do. He never did CPR.”He also explained that he had no memory of the medical emergency, “The first memory I have is leaving the hospital a week after I got there.”After the health scare, he revealed that the recovery process left him with a renewed appreciation for life. “That was a gift, to experience a few weeks where I felt that way about my presence in the world,” Odenkirk said. “I felt very, very happy and engaged.”In July 2021, Odenkirk collapsed on the set of ‘Better Call Saul’ and was taken to the hospital after what his reps described as a “heart-related incident.” The actress later underwent a stent procedure and has since made lifestyle changes, including adjusting her diet and medication regimen.
