This year’s Cannes Film Festival offers a wide range of films from many different genres, among others Seth RogenTangles animated film. In a recent interview, the actor and filmmaker talked about the film’s premiere at Cannes and admitted that the experience left him emotional.While speaking with PEOPLE about going to Cannes and screening the film, Rogen shared that seeing the film in front of a live audience for the first time was overwhelming for him.“Obviously, I’ve seen the movie many times, but that was the first time I didn’t watch it on my laptop with Lauren sitting next to me in our living room,” he said.The actor also said that he was moved during the performance.“I was crying a lot during the whole thing,” she admitted.As Rogen explained, seeing the completed version of the film on the big screen in front of a packed audience was an intense and emotional experience.“I’m glad that the film is effective and works. We’ve been working on it for about 10 years. It’s a very nice feeling to see it with a large group of people. And it seems to have affected them emotionally, which is very nice,” he added.
About Seth Rogen’s animated film ‘Tangles’
Tangles revolves around the story of Alzheimer’s disease and is based on Sarah Leavitt’s book Tangles: A Story about Alzheimer’s, My Mother and Me.Along with producing and developing the project, Seth Rogen lends his voice to one of the characters in the film. The voice cast includes Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Pamela Adlon, Beanie Feldstein, Sarah Silverman, Abbi Jacobson, Samira Wiley, Wanda Sykes, Adam Shapiro and Bowen Yang.Rogen produced the film with his wife Lauren Miller Rogen. The pair have previously collaborated on the documentary Taking Care, which documented the experience of caring for Lauren’s mother, Adele Miller, after she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at the age of 57.
