Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education has declared HPBOSE Class 10th Annual Exam Result 2026 hpbose.org. The board announced that 83.87% students cleared the matriculation examination, reflecting a major improvement in the performance of the state board over the previous two years. The results were officially announced by HPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma during a press conference held at the board headquarters in Dharamsala.
The pass percentage registers a strong improvement.
This year’s result data indicates a steady upward trend in student performance across Himachal Pradesh. According to the board, 93,694 students appeared for the Class 10 examination across the state.The pass percentage has increased significantly in the last three years:
- 2024: 74.61%
- 2025: 79.8%
- 2026: 83.87%
An improvement of more than four percentage points from last year indicates strong academic performance and better overall results in public and private schools alike.
Girls continue to rule in the merit list.
Again, girls emerged as the strongest performers in the HPBOSE matriculation examination. Women candidates bagged most of the top positions in the provisional merit list released by the board.Out of 45,079 girls who appeared for the exam, 38,449 passed the exam successfully. Among boys, 39,701 students passed out of 48,097 candidates.Students from Kangra, Una, Bilaspur, Hamirpur and Mandi dominated the top rank in the merit list.

Anmol of AVM Senior Secondary School bagged the first rank in the state by securing 699 marks out of 700. With a phenomenal 99.86 per cent marks, she emerged as the state topper in the HPBOSE Class 10 examination 2026, turning her school into a celebration scene soon after the announcement.Three students are second.The second rank was jointly bagged by three students who secured 698 marks with 99.71%.The students are:
- Abhinav Mehta from Govt Senior Secondary School
- Purnima Sharma from Govt Girls Senior Secondary School
- Rohani Dhiman from Govt Senior Secondary School
Their performance added to the impressive performance of government schools in this year’s examination.
The third rank was shared by two students.
The third position was jointly bagged by two candidates who secured 697 marks and registered 99.57%.These include:
- Ashvika Sharma from Neelam Public Senior Secondary School
- Alisha Thakur from Oxford School
The board has planned strict measures against cheating.
HPBOSE Chairman Dr. Rajesh Sharma said that the board is preparing to tighten the examination security in the coming years. According to the board, audio and video recording systems are expected to be introduced in the examination centers from the next examination round.The move aims to strengthen monitoring and prevent unfair practices during board examinations across the state.
Students can download provisional mark sheet online.
Students can now check and download their provisional score card through the official website of Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education.The online mark sheet includes:
- No. subject wise
- Total marks obtained
- Division
- Eligibility Status
However, the board clarified that the online scorecard is temporary. The original mark sheets and certificates will be distributed by the respective schools later.
