Yo Yo singer and rapper Honey Singh has denied allegations that he performed the controversial song from Book 1 at an event before a submission Delhi High Court through his advocate Rajshekhar Rao. The court, in the last trial, ordered the singer to submit an affidavit to record his position in the case.According to ANI, Honey Singh’s legal counsel dismissed claims that the singer performed the allegedly objectionable song in Delhi. Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on March 1, 2025, in front of almost 50,000 spectators. The defense also asked for evidence, including audio or video footage, to support the allegation that the song was performed at the event.Honey Singh said, “No such incident happened. I didn’t sing,” through her advice.After the submission, the Delhi High Court directed the singer to submit his version in an affidavit on the official record. The matter is scheduled to be heard next on May 19, 2026.The case related to Volume 1 involving Honey Singh and rapper Badshah was filed by an organization called Hindu Shakti Dal. The petition called for the song to be removed and blocked from all digital platforms, saying its lyrics were “obscene, vulgar and derogatory” towards women. The lawsuit also claimed that despite objections, the song continued to circulate online and was allegedly being performed publicly, raising concerns about its widespread influence.

While hearing the matter, the Delhi High Court found the content of Volume 1 to be “extremely vulgar” and “obscene”, adding that such material should not be available in a civilized society. The court then ordered the intermediaries and authorities to immediately remove all versions, remixes and related links of the song from online platforms. Notices were also sent to the singers, directing them to comply with the legal procedure.
