Hera Pheri 3 has been in the limelight since its announcement, though not always for positive reasons. Just when earlier disagreements over the film seemed to have been resolved, new reports now suggest that Paresh Rawal has once again walked away from the much-anticipated comedy sequel.According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, Paresh Rawal has reportedly returned the film’s signature amount with 15 percent interest and additional compensation. A source told the portal, “His total fees were locked at Rs 15 crore. The terms sheet mentioned that Paresh Rawal would receive the balance amount, Rs 14.89 crore, just one month after the film’s release. The senior actor had reservations about this clause. Also, the principal shooting of the film will begin next year. This means that Hera Pheri 3 is unlikely to be released in late 2026 or 2027. In short, Paresh would have to wait for almost two years to receive the rest of his cast’s dues.”However, there has been no official confirmation from either the cast or the film’s team about these claims. The report also claimed that Hera Pheri 3 teaser was shot on the sets of Bhooth Bangla.Earlier, while talking to Shubhankar Mishra, Akshay Kumar he also faced the uncertainty surrounding the project. He said, “Hera Pheri 3 abhi filhaal toh nahi ban rahi… Mujhe khud jhatka laga tha. Koi baat nahi, Welcome bana li. Thoda kuch mantra padhna padega ki sab theek ho jaaye. Abhi ek saal toh nahi hain. Uske bohot saare issues hain, aisa nahien hain ki hum te nahien. [actors] saath want so.”For those who don’t know, the original Hera Pheri, inspired by the 1989 Malayalam film Ramji Rao Speaking, became a surprise hit and later achieved cult status as one of India’s most beloved comedy films. Its 2006 sequel, Phir Hera Pheri, directed by the late Neeraj Vora, brought the hilarious adventures of Raju, Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, the characters played by Akshay Kumar. Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal respectively. Although little is officially known about Hera Pheri 3 at the moment, fans are still eagerly waiting for the reunion of the beloved trio on screen.
