Rajasthan and parts of NCR also adopted revised timetables for students to avoid the afternoon heat. Why Kids Have a Hard Time Going Back to SchoolChildren often have difficulty returning to school after a long summer vacation because their routines change significantly during the holidays. Many people go to bed later, wake up later in the morning and spend more time in leisure activities, travel and unrestricted sports.Back to school also brings back homework, exams, classroom discipline and fixed schedules. Some children experience stress related to academic expectations after several weeks away from school. Poor sleep patterns can make school mornings difficult during the early weeks after reopening.Summer vacations also create an emotional attachment to recreational activities and family outings. Returning to a regular school routine after long breaks can therefore be a challenge for many students of different age groups.
