RJ Mahvash, who made headlines over her rumored relationship with the cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and their viral appearances together, recently opened up about one of the most painful phases of her life.In an interview with Pinkvilla, Mahvash revealed that her engagement broke off when she was just 19, after her fiancé cheated on her several times. The content creator recalled how the betrayal pushed him into depression and how it affected his mental health.

Talking about the difficult phase, Mahvash revealed that she met her ex-fiancé through Facebook. According to her, she was very influential and popular in Aligarh, and even her family had fought to marry her.Recalling the emotional state of that time, she said: “I was 19 years old and I was very much in love. I felt that there could be no one better than him. I even told my family that if I could not marry him, I would run away.”However, things took a painful turn when he realized that she had cheated on him, not once, but three times.“That person cheated on me not once or twice, but three times. I kept forgiving each time. That’s when I realized this had become a loop and it would never end,” she shared.Mahvash admitted that even talking to her family and therapists about the situation was difficult for her because of the fear of being judged in a small town like Aligarh.
“I started hallucinating because of the heavy medication”
Opening up about the impact the heart attack had on her mental health, Mahvash revealed that she fell into depression and had to take heavy medication due to panic attacks.“I was taking so much medicine, I started hallucinating. The high doses of injections and pills took a toll on me. I would imagine things around me and I would feel someone coming, even when no one was there,” he recalled.She also said that her friends became her biggest support system during that difficult time and helped her through emotional turmoil.“That’s probably why I value friendship so much today. My friends remind me of how lost and disturbed I was back then,” she said.

Mahvash also revealed that despite everything, he initially believed that the same person who broke his heart could also help him heal. Finally, she mustered up the courage to tell him about her worsening condition, but his response was a turning point for her.“I told him I was hospitalized and I was going through so much, and he didn’t even come to meet me. ‘You’re crazy. If my family finds out you’re mentally ill, what will happen?'” she replied.The statement hit him hard, he realized how toxic the relationship had become.“That line hit me hard. I was in the hospital and the person I was taking medicine for called me mentally unstable. That’s when I realized that wasn’t right,” Mahvash recounted.He added that leaving Aligarh was also necessary for his healing journey as he did not want to keep seeing her around.Looking back now, Mahvash believes that what happened ultimately saved him from a bigger problem in life.“That person is now divorced because he also cheated on his pregnant wife. It’s a pattern with him. He can never change,” he said.
