The ‘Heroes’ actor, on the latest episode of Jay Shetty’s podcast, ‘On Purpose with Jay Shetty’, now 36, discussed a chapter in his upcoming memoir, This Is Me: A Reckoning, in which he recounts being dumped by a woman he considered a ‘friend’. In an episode of the now-viral podcast, Jay “asked about a moment in your career where a friend of yours takes you on a boat. They take you into a room with an older man and he basically tells you to have sex.”Recalling the incident, Panettiere admitted that even though she was 18 at the time, “I felt like I could make healthy decisions, safe decisions, I just wasn’t able to be fully aware of what was going on around me.”

Recounting the alleged incident on a boat, he said his “perspective completely changed” when he realized he was “in danger”. However, by then, he said, “I was literally at sea.”According to Panettiere, he was “guided by someone I trusted and looked up to as a protector,” he shared. The actress recalled being taken downstairs to a “very small room” where the woman “physically put me on the bed next to this naked man who was very famous.”

Without taking any names, he added that the man in question acted “like it was just a normal day for him”.“I became a freak,” she recalled. “I said, ‘This is not happening'”He revealed that while he “wasn’t jumping in and swimming away,” he fled the room and tried to hide elsewhere on the ship. He added: “There was no way that they would be empathetic to my situation. I realized that this was nothing new to them.”

During the interview, Hayden detailed the emotional impact of feeling betrayed by someone you trust. “When you find someone you really trust, you stick with them for life and you feel very lucky,” she said. “So to be betrayed like that is just a terrible feeling.”During the chat, the actor was candid as he opened up about his marital relationship with his mother, addiction, losing custody of his daughter and more.
