“Our friendship is 50 years old. He has worked in many of my films. He is also in this one (Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai). I said: ‘Fifty years ago they didn’t know you, now they are discovering you’. He is a good actor, he was always a good actor. I said, ‘You’re turning 70 and you’re getting recognition. But it’s very good. It was totally worth it,” David Dhawan told Bollywood Hungama.Asked if success has changed Rakesh Bedi, Dhawan suggests a marked change in his demeanor, albeit in an affectionate tone. “You see the spark and the way he walks now. ‘Yaar teri chaal change ho gayi, hamari baat hoti rehti hai (The way he walks has changed, we are in touch).’ He is my classmate, we also messed around in FTII.
