According to the latest reports, the actor is all set to be seen in a role that fans haven’t seen in the past.Peter Peeves has been cast as the Poltergeist in the upcoming HBO series. The character is described as a “macho ghost” known for causing trouble in the halls of Hogwarts, Variety reports. It’s also a fan favorite that didn’t appear in the original ‘Harry Potter’ films before.

HBO’s adaptation, which is planned as a seven-season spectacular, has always intended to go “deeper” than the films, as each season tackles a novel from JK Rowling’s epic book series.“The scope of the production, the detail, the rigor of what’s being lived and what’s built takes theater to another level,” JB Perrette, WBD’s president of global streaming and gaming, said last year.“And so when you think about the love of that franchise and what you can do in a series — you can go deeper, you can tell more stories, you can tell more pieces that you didn’t capture in a two-hour movie … I really think this is the streaming event of the decade,” Perrett said, according to Variety .
Peter Serafinowicz’s acting credits
Serafinowicz recently appeared in last year’s live-action ‘How to Train Your Dragon’. He is also known for playing Edgar Covington in ‘Parks and Recreation’ and Denarian Saal in 2014’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. According to Variety , the actor and comedian has a long list of voice acting and animation credits, from voicing Darth Maul in “Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace” to Big Daddy in “Sing” and “Sing 2.”‘

Dominic McLaughlin will play the titular Potter in the show, with Arabella Stanton and Alastair Stout stepping into the roles of Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.
