The victory helped Bayern complete a domestic double after winning the Bundesliga title earlier this season.The match was briefly overshadowed by fan protests against the German Football Association over proposed security measures. The striker ended the season with an incredible 61 goals in all competitions, including the Bundesliga, German Cup, Champions League and Super Cup.The win marked Bayern’s first German Cup final appearance since 2000, when they last completed the domestic double.
