In an interview with the Free Press Journal, Gulshan expressed whether he felt limited by his “villain” image. He dismissed the idea, “Subhash Ghai invited me to breakfast, but he didn’t mention the film until I got into the elevator. I asked him about my role, and he said, ‘Whenever you’re on screen, just say: Bad Man.’ His vision was so sharp that he redefined my career with two words. Talking about how he handles failure, Grover said, “My success is less and my failure is much bigger. If you look at the most successful people, their list of failures is often longer than their successes. You can’t let rejection stop you. If you’re focused, you take it in stride and keep going.”
