Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph’s mystery thriller ‘Drishyam 3’ continued its impressive run on Day 4. The film saw a slight increase in collections compared to the previous day.According to Sacnilk, the film earned Rs 13.95 crore on its first Sunday in India, a growth of 1.8 percent from Day 3’s Rs 13.70 crore.
“Drishyam 3” India collection crosses Rs 63 crore gross
“Drishyam 3’s India net collection has reached 54.55 crores. The film’s India gross collection now stands at 63.34 crores.The Malayalam version remained the top contributor, collecting 11.75 crores from 3,186 shows on Sunday with an overall occupancy of 69.35 percent. Telugu version added Rs 1.20 crore, Tamil version Rs 65 lakh. The Kannada version collected 35 lakhs.The film was screened in 5,270 shows on Day 4.
Kerala is a state level performer
Kerala continued to be the strongest market for the Mohanlal starrer. The state generated 9.70 crore gross on Day 4 alone. Karnataka followed with Rs 2.40 crore, while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana together contributed Rs 1.40 crore.Tamil Nadu also reported a gross collection of Rs 1.40 crore. Rest of India added another 1.27 million to the tally.The Malayalam version registered an occupancy of 77.08 percent in the evening shows and an impressive 78.83 percent in the afternoon shows.The Tamil version had an overall occupancy of 50.22 percent, while the Kannada version had an overall occupancy of 25.46 percent. The Telugu version registered 23.73 percent occupancy on Sunday.
The foreign market remains a strong force
The film earned 13 crores overseas on Day 4, taking its total overseas collection to 78 crores.Strong support from audiences in the Gulf region, North America, Europe and other international territories has helped the film maintain a remarkable momentum outside India.“Drishyam 3” has collected a gross collection of 141.34 crores in four days of its worldwide release.Directed by Jeethu Joseph, the film brings back Mohanlal Georgekutty’s role along with Meena, Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil.
