'Drishyam 3' box office collections Day 6: Mohanlal's film sees a 16.2% decline; It crosses 170 million worldwide

Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph starrer “Drishyam 3” continued its impressive theatrical run on Day 6 even as the film saw its usual weekday dip at the box office. According to Sacnilk, the Malayalam thriller earned Rs 6.45 crore in its opening Tuesday in India, down 16.2 percent from the Rs 7.70 crore collected on Monday.The film was screened in 4,668 shows on the 6th day. Although the collections were slightly down, the overall performance was solid on a working day. The latest figures have taken the film’s net collection in India to 68.60 crores.

“Drishyam 3” crosses 170 million worldwide

“Drishyam 3” has crossed a major milestone at the global box office. The film collected 6 crores overseas on day 6, taking its total international gross to 90.70 crores.Along with the domestic earnings, the worldwide gross collection has reached 170.32 crores in six days.Kerala continued to lead the film at the box office on Day 6. The state brought in a gross of Rs 5.65 crore.The state gross collection report showed that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 60 lakh and Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 50 lakh. Karnataka generated Rs 43 lakh and rest of India Rs 30 lakh.Language-wise, the Malayalam version remained the clear leader with a collection of Rs 5.50 crore from 2,641 shows. The Telugu version earned Rs 60 lakh from 1,310 shows, while the Tamil version earned Rs 25 lakh from 530 shows. The Kannada version added Rs 10 lakh from 187 shows.

They show a high occupation in the evening and at night

The Malayalam version registered an overall occupancy of 39.06 percent on Day 6.The morning shows had an occupancy of 22.33 percent and in the evening it increased to 32.75 percent. Audience participation improved significantly in the evening and night sessions, recording 46.83 percent and 54.33 percent occupancy, respectively.The Telugu version had an overall occupancy of 14.75 percent, while Tamil was 19.24 percent. The Kannada version had an occupancy of 14.53 percent.

While ‘Drishyam 3’ continues its successful theatrical run, it has also turned its attention to its digital release.
