Speaking to Empire magazine, he reflected on his hopes for the future of the Spider-Man universe beyond Peter Parker, stating that he is ready to hand the reins to the next actor.“For whoever’s next, whether it’s Miles Morales or Spider-Gwen or Spider-Woman or something like that, I’d love to be a part of setting up the next chapter,” Holland admitted. He added: “What that looks like, I don’t know. But if I could do what Downey (Robert Downey Jr.) did for me, then I would be very happy to rock into the sunset.”The actor’s comments come after he revealed that he is ready to take a step back from acting after becoming a father.Commentators also speculate that Marvel Studios is exploring ways to introduce alternate Spider-Men or Spider-Woman into the MCU after the Multiverse Saga ends.Holland’s next turn, the superhero is making waves for his character’s “darker” take. Now, according to the actor, this could be because of his involvement in the creative development of ‘Brand New Day’. Speaking to Atari, he also explained that he regularly collaborated with the producers “to pitch ideas and discuss our intentions and what we wanted to try and do.”One of Holland’s greatest contributions involves the surprising evolution of Spider-Man’s powers. He explained: “My pitch when I came to the table with him was called ‘Spider-Puberty.’ What if Peter Parker is losing control and things are changing?”The actor notes that ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is likely to transform Peter into ‘Spider-Man’ and may see him lose control of his evolutionary abilities.‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ will be released on July 31.
