Speaking in an interview with M9 ahead of the film’s release on June 4, Buchi Babu Sana shared that she initially approached Khushi Kapoor for the role of Achiyamma, but changed her mind after meeting her. The director stated, “Initially I narrated the film to Khushi Kapoor. But once I saw her in person, I realized that she is too young for this character. Now imagine when I have to reject Khushi and Janhvi in ​​the same house where I have to narrate. I felt bad and asked Janhvi if Khushi didn’t insult her.”He went on to describe the awkward but necessary conversation, adding, “I explained why I rejected my sister. I looked at Khushi, said hello and said, ‘I don’t want you in the film; I want your sister”. But such things should be done for cinema. I knew from the beginning that this role would suit Janhvi.
