Ranveer Singh was given a non-cooperation directive by FWICE in the ‘Don 3’ row
The release of the TV series ‘Dhurandhar’ comes at a complicated time for its protagonist. Ranveer Singh has been slapped with a non-cooperation ban by the Federation of Film Employees of Western India (FWICE) in the wake of the escalating ‘Don 3’ controversy involving filmmaker Farhan Akhtar. The dispute over the third installment of the iconic franchise has taken a formal turn, with industry bodies stepping in and targeting its affiliated unions and technicians to withdraw their professional services from any production involving the banned figure. The FWICE ban, if enforced in its entirety, could have a major impact on the production pipeline of Ranveer’s upcoming projects. The development has cast a significant shadow over what has otherwise been the most commercially successful phase of the actor’s career, courtesy of ‘Dhurandhar’ and his record-breaking ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’.
