I’ve seen it all my life, people say, ‘Love stories are working, so it’s not when action films work.’ When it was about to release, people were saying ‘Sholay’ won’t work. But, look what that movie was. People had the same doubts about ‘Dhurandhar’ when it was about to release.”

Imtiaz also highlighted the surprise success of Mohit Suri’s ‘Saiyaara’, a love story with fresh faces, to prove to the audience that there is no fixed formula.
