In an emotional moment in Kochi, Dhanush expressed his fervent hope of getting the rights to the acclaimed Malayalam film “Drishyam”, praising its engaging narrative and Mohanlal’s outstanding portrayal. Sharing insights into his expanding fascination with Malayalam cinema, he highlighted the charm of Kerala’s vibrant culture, stunning views and tasty dishes.

In an earlier interview during his visit to Kochi, he spoke of his admiration for the film and its lead star MohanlalAlso sharing a growing interest in Malayalam cinema and Kerala culture.

Dhanush said, “Actually, I wanted to buy the rights of ‘Drishyam’. You are wondering how I would fit into the lead role of a mature character. Yes I wanted to act or at least produce the film. ‘Drishyam’ is a great film and it really deserves more recognition and recognition that it has received.”He added, “My best wishes to legendary director and actor Mohanlal sir, who is my favorite actor, for making such a film.” The actor’s remarks highlighted his respect for Malayalam cinema and the depth of the story.

Dhanush’s limited association with Malayalam films

Dhanush also spoke about his limited association with Malayalam films so far. “So far his only contact with Malayalam films has been through Thomson K. However, Dhanush said he would love to do a full-length character in M-Town. “Honestly, I don’t care if it’s a good script; for me, language is not a criterion for choosing films.’He linked his love for Kerala with its nature and food. “I have visited Kochi, Alappuzha, Trivandrum and Kannur. Kerala is known for its scenic beauty. I love eating kappa. Being a vegetarian, I cannot eat kappa with fish curry, so I have it with pickle. Idiyappam and kadala curry are my favorite dishes.”When asked about his viral song Why This Kolaveri Di, he said, “I avoid listening to Kolaveri di; I run away when it’s being played. I didn’t do anything to get that recognition and I don’t think the song deserved that kind of recognition.”
