Slow momentum to ‘Dacoit’ after initial run
According to Sacnilk, ‘Dacoit’ collected Rs 44 lakh in 17 days from its Telugu network collections. The numbers reflect a steady decline in foot traffic.Looking at the last few days, the film’s earnings show an obvious downward pattern.It earned 48 lakhs on day 11 and similar figures of 50 lakhs were seen on days 12 and 13.Collections dipped slightly to 47 lakhs on day 14. The decline was more pronounced on day 15 with 25 lakhs, reaching 37 lakhs on day 16.
Strong worldwide, despite decline
Even with the recent slowdown, ‘Dacoit’ has managed to cross a major milestone globally. The film has collected 40.94 crore gross in India. Foreign earnings are 13.58 crores. This takes the total worldwide collection to 54.52 crore.

The film’s India net collection is currently 35.26 crores. The house fee represents 75.09% of the total profit. On the other hand, the foreign share is 24.91%. The Hindi version of the film has also increased the numbers, adding 6.65 crores in net collections so far.
Mixed critical response
Etimes’ review of the film says, “Mrunal Thakur delivers a solid performance despite the limitations of his role. Anurag Kashyap, as the spiritually eccentric cop, comes off as an unintentionally funny caricature rather than someone who adds real impact. Prakash Raj doesn’t have much to offer either.”The film includes several twists and turns, some of which, including the climax, are truly amazing. On paper, these moments have real impact, but they needed much tighter writing to really land. There’s a clear attempt to tap into the wave of stylized, massive, alpha-male action movies dominating the space.
