CUET PG 2026 COUNSELING: The counseling process for CUET PG 2026 has started after the National Testing Agency declared the results on 24th April 2026, thus starting the next phase of counseling for nearly 5 lakh candidates who applied for admission to postgraduate courses.But despite the declaration of results, many candidates have failed to download their scorecards as the NTA website has not yet stabilized the login system and hence candidates are waiting patiently till the site is stabilized.University War Counseling Registration ProcedureEach candidate should register separately on the website of their desired university as the entire admission procedure for CUET PG 2026 will be done individually by the universities instead of NTA.Candidates should upload various documents like educational certificate and identity proof along with other documents specified by the universities for merit creation purposes.Once the verification process is completed, the merit lists will be prepared by the universities and calls will be made for further rounds of admission.Persistent issues of counseling timeline and portalMany students have complained about issues in the NTA scorecard login portal, which makes it difficult to access the download option even after the declaration of results.However, universities have already started announcing counseling, each university has set its own timeline for admission registration and counseling rounds.Steps after Counseling RegistrationIt is advised that all students prepare themselves with all necessary documents like transcripts and identity proofs to facilitate the counseling process during university level verification.Universities will publish separate counseling guidelines for the counseling process, and students are advised to visit the admission portal regularly for information.Admission process at participating universitiesAdmissions to CUET PG 2026 courses will be conducted in 198 universities including central universities, state universities, government universities, and private universities.Candidates are advised to visit the university website regularly for details about counseling schedule, merit list, and document verification as the role of NTA is limited to conducting the examination and declaring the result.As the counseling process is currently underway, students are focusing on the university level registration procedure as students are facing difficulties in accessing the CUET PG 2026 scorecards due to portal issues on the NTA website. The merit based counseling process will continue soon while the final process will be document verification and seat allotment after which the admissions will be completed through CUET PG 2026.
