A heated exchange between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Wicketkeeper Sanju Samson And Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsmen Heinrich Klassen The eruption erupted after the latter was dismissed during their IPL 2026 clash in Chennai on Monday.The incident took place on the third ball of the 15th over of SRH’s chase when Noor Ahmed dismissed Klassen with a stumping. Bowling over the wicket, Noor delivered a googly outside the off-stump as Klaasen tried to create space and play an inside-out shot. The ball swooped in, beat the outside edge and Samson quickly removed Bales before Klaasen could drag his back foot inside the crease. Samson’s sharp glovework drew comparisons to former CSK captain MS Dhoni. Klaasen was dismissed for 47 off 26 balls with six fours and two sixes.As Classen walked back, he exchanged words with Samson near the pitch. The SRH batsman also turned around on his way to the dugout and continued the verbal exchange, making it clear that the conversation was not friendly.SRH eventually won the match by 5 wickets. They qualified for the playoffs with GT.Earlier, Pat Cummins produced a three-wicket spell after which the hosts opted to bat first and restricted Chennai Super Kings to 180 for seven.Samson gave CSK a flying start by hitting Nitish Kumar Reddy for 6, 4, 4 in the opening over to collect 17 runs. Gaekwad scored 15 off 21 balls before finding Ishan Malinga in the deep.Dewald Brews then scored 44 runs off 27 balls and added 59 runs with Shivam Dubey to help CSK’s recovery. Brewis hit Cummins and Nitish for sixes during his innings before Malinga bowled him at 141 kmph.Dubey and the lower-order batsmen tried to push CSK past 200, but the team ended on 180/7.
