‘Jaane Pehchaane Anjaane’ stars Anupam Kher opposite actor Swaroop Sampat. Gajendra Ahire has written and directed the play. The musical also marks the debut of veteran singer and composer Anu Malik.Kausar Munir has penned the lyrics, while Shaan, Sukhwinder Singh and Anandi have contributed vocals to the production. The play premiered at the NCPA Tata Theater in Mumbai before Kher took it to Delhi.The production has received praise from members of the film and theater community. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit called Kher a “rockstar”, while actor Parvin Dabas called the play “entertaining and moving”.Kher is promoting the play. He was also recently honored at the UK International Film Festival’s Flame Awards 2026, where he won Best Supporting Actor for his role in ‘Calorie’.
