Coal India Limited has launched a major recruitment drive for young professionals, inviting applications for 660 management trainee positions. The online registration process will start on 12th May 2026 and will be open till 11th June 2026. Candidates can apply through official website of Coal India, coalindia.in.In respect of Raj Bhasha posts, the candidate should have Post Graduate Degree (MA in Hindi) with minimum 60% marks. Also, candidates with graduation degree with Hindi and English with minimum 50% marks in core subjects are also eligible.As far as company secretary posts are concerned, the candidate must have a graduate degree in any discipline, and the candidate must possess the qualifications of a company secretary. It is also essential that the candidate should be an Associate Member/Fellow of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI).Candidates for the post of Company Secretary must possess any degree and a valid Company Secretary Certificate. ICSEI Associate Membership or Fellow Membership will be required for this post.
Coal India Management Trainee 2026 : Selection Procedure
The first stage of the selection process will be Computer Based Test (CBT). There will be two papers of CBT, where each paper will have 100 objective type questions, each question will be of one mark.The first paper will have questions on General Knowledge and Awareness, Reasoning Ability, Numerical Ability and General English.There will be no negative marking in the examination. Unattempted questions will not carry any marks, accuracy and time management are the deciding factors.The duration of the exam will be three hours, designed to assess both conceptual clarity and subject mastery.

The application fee is fixed at ₹1180 for candidates belonging to General (UR), OBC (Creamy and Non-Creamy Layer) and EWS categories.However, SC, ST, PwBD candidates as well as employees of Coal India Limited and its subsidiaries are exempted from paying any fee.
