He was reportedly undergoing treatment for age-related health problems at a private hospital in the city. With several fans and celebrities sharing their sadness, the actor turned politician CM Vijay he also expressed his condolences.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay has expressed his condolences to Ajith Kumar and his family. He shared his support with the actor and his loved ones during this difficult time. The Chief Minister also paid tribute to Mohini Mani and acknowledged the pain the family was going through after her death.

On his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, a statement in English reads: “I was very saddened to learn of the death of Ms. Mohini Ammaiyar, mother of my close friend Mr. Ajith Kumar’s mother. I pray that his soul may rest in peace at the divine feet of the Lord. My deepest condolences to my friend Mr. Ajith Kumar, who is grieving the loss of his mother, who was a pillar of support and hugs at every stage of his life, and his family members.“ Mohini Mani breathed her last on Saturday morning after battling age-related health problems. His death has been a great loss to his family and those who knew him. The family was already going through a difficult time in 2023 when Ajith Kumar’s father, P. Subramani, died at the age of 84. Mohini Mani’s death marks another emotional loss for the family.
Ajith Kumar to return home
Ajith Kumar is currently in Dubai. According to an IANS report, he is expected to return to Chennai immediately to be with his family and participate in the funeral proceedings.The last rites are expected to be performed at the actor’s Palavakkam residence in Chennai. Family, friends and people from the film industry will probably gather to pay their last respects.
