NEET UG 2026 cancelled, NTA announces re-examination after government approval and investigation results
NEET UG 2026 re-exam: The complete schedule and key details of the NEET UG 2026 re-exam was announced on Friday, which will now be held on June 21 after the original exam was canceled over the paper leak controversy.Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in a press conference further confirmed the revised exam date with important updates on admit cards, exam timings, exam city selection and fee waiver for candidates.As per the announcement, the new admit cards for NEET UG 2026 will be released by June 14. Students will also get another chance to choose their preferred exam city through a fresh correction window, as many candidates will have shifted places after the cancellation of the first exam, the education minister said.

NTA has also revised the examination period. The re-examination will now be held from 2 pm to 5:15 pm, with 15 minutes extra time for students to mark attendance and other formalities.In a major relief for candidates, the government said that students will not have to pay any additional fee for the re-test. The examination fee already paid for the canceled NEET UG 2026 examination will also be refunded.The original NEET UG 2026 exam was held on May 3 but was later canceled after allegations of paper leaks and circulation of leaked PDFs sparked outrage among students and parents across the country.
