The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced tele-counseling and email support for students and parents after the declaration of Class 12 board results on Sunday. The board said that these facilities have been introduced to help students with doubts related to examinations, results and evaluation and to reduce stress during the post-result period. In a post shared on X, CBSE said students, parents and schools can contact the board through its official helpline and email support system for guidance and clarification. “Tele-counseling support is available on 1800-11-8004 to provide students, parents and schools with important information and help with exams/results/assessment and reduce stress,” CBSE said.Also read- ‘On-screen marking not new’: Education ministry says process eliminates total errors between row of Class 12 marks The board also asked students to use only authorized email addresses for queries. The board said, “You can also write to: resultcbse2026@cbseshiksha.in (Please do not send emails to resultcbse2026@gmail.com as this email has been accessed unauthorized). CBSE said it is committed to helping students in the post-result process. The board added, “Students and parents can approach CBSE through these official platforms for guidance, clarification and support. The board is committed to sensitively listen to students and help them in the post-result process.”Meanwhile, the Education Ministry on Sunday termed the digital marking process as foolproof, saying it is not new to CBSE.In a press conference, Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education and Literacy said, “Some students feel that they should have scored higher than they actually did. I would like to emphasize that on-screen marking is neither a new concept nor is it being implemented for the first time.”He added that one of the advantages of this is that the errors that sometimes occurred in totals have been completely eliminated.CBSE has also reduced the fee for resubmission of answer sheets. “We will charge a fee of Rs 100 from any student who wants to see their answer sheet; a separate fee of Rs 100 is applicable if they want to get their papers verified; and a fee of Rs 25 is applicable for re-checking the answer to a particular question,” the official said.
