The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will open the post-result verification and re-evaluation portal for Class 12 students on June 1, 2026, amid growing concerns over technical glitches and problems related to evaluation. Earlier, the evaluation window was scheduled to open today, May 29, 2026.The board said that this decision has been taken to ensure a transparent, smooth and error-free process for students to avail the services of mark verification, photocopy of answer books and re-evaluation after the declaration of board results.
CBSE says the portal is being strengthened.
In an official post on X, CBSE said that the portal for post-result activities will now be functional from June 1 instead of the earlier expected date.A CBSE official said the board is still strengthening the infrastructure of the website to avoid bottlenecks during the application process. The move comes after several students reported technical issues while accessing post-result services in recent days. The board added that the revised schedule aims to maintain the “highest standards and evaluation protocols”.
Technical glitches caused concern among students
The delay followed widespread complaints from students and parents about portal-related issues during the process of accessing the answer sheet. Several candidates faced difficulties in accessing the scanned copies of the examined answer books, while some users also reported payment gateway errors and incorrect display of fees on the portal. The controversy also intensified after concerns were raised over CBSE’s new On-Screen Marking (OSM) system introduced for Class 12 evaluations this year. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan recently admitted that inconsistencies have been noticed in the digital assessment system and assured students that corrective measures will be taken.
