gave Central Board of Secondary Education has released today 15 April 2026 class 10th result on the official website, cbse.gov.in. The board has started fully online process for photocopying of answer sheets, verification of marks and re-checking. CBSE has clarified that although its evaluation system is designed with multiple layers of testing, students who are not satisfied with their scores can formally challenge their results through prescribed measures. However, all applications will be accepted only after the completion of the second examination period of the Board under dual examination policy.
Step 1: Apply for Photocopy of Answer Sheet (First Stage of Evaluation)
The first step in the CBSE revaluation process is to obtain a scanned copy of the examined answer book. Students who want to understand how the marks are awarded have to apply online through the official CBSE portal after the window opens.To apply, candidates must:
- Log in using their school credentials or CBSE Student Login.
- Select the subject for which answer sheet is required.
- Pay the fixed fee per subject online.
- Download the scanned copy once released by the board.
This step is mandatory before proceeding to any further challenge of marks, as CBSE does not allow direct re-evaluation without prior access to answer scripts.
Step 2: Verification of Marks (Checking for Errors)
After reviewing the scanned answer sheet, if students have doubts they can proceed to the verification of marks stage.This process allows candidates to apply for:
- Re-checking of total marks
- Verification of marked answers
- Verification of correctness of mark entry
- Correction of accounting or posting errors
Applications for confirmation will also be accepted online, and CBSE has clarified that no offline application will be entertained. The validation result is final for calculation errors.
Step 3: Revise Answers (Final Academic Review Option)
If students are not satisfied after verification, they can apply for rechecking of specific answers. This is the final stage of academic review under CBSE’s post-result policy.Key features include:
- Topic wise application for specific queries only
- Follow the online submission format strictly.
- Re-evaluation by an independent examiner
- Final marks will be mandatory after re-examination.
CBSE has emphasized that re-evaluation is not a re-examination of the entire paper but a re-examination focusing on the selected answers.
When and How to Apply: Important Timeline
CBSE has confirmed that all post-result proceedings will begin only after the end of the second phase of the board’s examination, which is scheduled for mid-May 2026 under the new dual examination system. Students should note:

- Deadlines will be strict and non-extendable.
- Schools will guide candidates through the application process.
Second board exam link and improvement option
Along with the revamping system, the CBSE has also enabled a pathway for academic improvement through its second board examination window. Students who are not satisfied with their performance in the main examination or have been placed in compartment categories can apply for improvement by submitting their List of Candidates (LOC) through the schools.The LOC submission window will be open for a limited period of five days from April 16, 2026, after which no entries will be accepted.
