CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 expected by April 30 as digital speeds up evaluation process

CBSE XII Result Date 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to announce the Class 12 board results on or before April 30, reports said, as the evaluation process under the on-screen marking system introduced this year is moving at a faster pace. However, there is no official confirmation yet. A digital checking process was adopted to improve accuracy and reduce delays associated with manual assessment.The Class 12 exams were held from 17 February to 10 April 2026. With the result considered in the final stage of processing, students are awaiting the release of mark sheets on government portals as well as government-backed digital platforms including DigiLocker and UMANG.History and past trends of expected resultsReports suggest that the digital evaluation system may advance the timeline of result declaration as compared to previous years. Last year, the senior secondary results were declared on May 13, with a pass percentage of 88.39 percent. Recent results patterns have remained largely within the May window, although this year’s performance has raised expectations for an earlier announcement.The board had declared the CBSE Class 10 results on 15 April 2026 for 24,71,777 candidates, out of which 23,16,008 had passed. The release of Class 10 results has also fueled speculation that Class 12 results may be announced before the end of the month.Official websites to check resultsAfter the release of the results, students can access the provisional scorecard and download the marksheet through the official websites. The designated portals are cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in and cbseresults.nic.in.Candidates are advised to keep their roll number, school number and admit card credentials ready before logging in, as heavy traffic is expected when the results go live.Apart from websites, students can also access results through DigiLocker, UMANG application and SMS services, which are usually used to reduce congestion on government portals during peak demand.Steps to Download Marksheet on DigiLockerStudents can download the digital mark sheet by opening the DigiLocker application or by visiting digilocker.gov.in. After signing in with Aadhaar or registered mobile number, they need to open the education section and select Central Board of Secondary Education.Candidates should then select the 12th class mark sheet, enter the roll number and required details, submit the information and download the mark sheet for future use.How to check through UMANG and website.On the UMANG application, students need to sign in, search for CBSE services, select the Class 12 result option, enter the required credentials and download the provisional mark sheet.For official websites, candidates should open any CBSE result portal, click on the Class 12 Result link, fill the Roll Number, School Number and Admit Card ID, then submit to view and save the mark sheet.Post-result options for studentsThe original certificates will be issued by the schools after the announcement. CBSE is also expected to open up the process of marks verification, re-examination requests, photocopies of answer sheets and compartmental examinations for eligible students. Students are advised to track updates through official CBSE channels only.
