Emma Heming explains An old comment was revived

While chatting on ‘The Bossicks’, Heming talked about her husband’s health and how the ‘Die Hard’ actor is doing. Willis has been moved to a separate home with 24-hour care and a local medical team.Willis shared that she has a type of dementia that is different from the conventional definition that people think. He added: “What Bruce has affects language, but there’s another variant that will affect behavior and another that can affect movement.”As for clarifying what he meant when Willis said last year that his brain was failing, Heming mentioned “That’s a different part of the brain. So when people say, ‘Oh, you know, does he remember who you are?’ Well, he does because he doesn’t have Alzheimer’s; He has FTD.’Citing some official data in the interview, Heming added that “it’s a very common misconception that when you think of dementia, you think of memory loss. It’s different from Alzheimer’s. And Alzheimer’s is the most common dementia, but for people under 60, FTD is the most common dementia.”For context, veteran actor Bruce Willis retired in 2022. Initially, his family announced that he was staying away from films because he was diagnosed with aphasia. Later, in February 2023, it was reported that the actor’s condition had worsened. This led to the development of a type of dementia that specifically affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain.

What did Emma Heming think of Bruce Willis last year?

Last August, Heming was invited on ‘Good Morning America’ to talk about Bruce Willis and his general health. While speaking on the matter, “Bruce is still very mobile. Bruce is in very good health overall, you know. It’s just his brain that’s failing him.” At the time he added: “The language goes, and, you know, we’ve learned to adapt.”Heming has since released a book about his experiences, An Unexpected Journey: Finding Strength, Hope, and Self-Care. Also, Willis’ family regularly shares updates on the actor’s health and occasionally uploads rare pictures and videos of him.
