Actress Rumer Willis, daughter of Hollywood stars Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, has been awarded primary physical custody of her three-year-old daughter Louetta.According to new court documents obtained by People, the ruling comes amid a custody battle between Willis and her ex-partner, Derek Richard Thomas. While the actress has been awarded primary custody, she will continue to share joint legal custody of her daughter with Derek while she undergoes a court-ordered “custody evaluation.”According to the report, the court set a visitation schedule for Thomas, giving him parenting time with Loueta every other weekend beginning June 20. Initially, these visits will be supervised by one of Willis’ nannies and will later transition to unsupervised overnight visits during August.Both parents are directed to participate in parenting counseling and to communicate through a designated parenting app.After the verdict, Thomas’ attorney, Mike Kretzmer, welcomed the judge’s decision. In a statement to PEOPLE, he said, “Mr. Thomas is very pleased with the court’s interim decision on the custody issues. Judge White properly focused on the issues at hand and carefully weighed the evidence presented. We are pleased that the Court entered a custody and visitation order that gives Mr. Thomas a strong and meaningful opportunity to restore and grow his relationship with his daughter.“The attorney added, “When the court hears this case again we hope to present more evidence that Mr. Thomas is a loving, devoted and committed father to Loretta.”Willis and Thomas have been in a custody battle for the past few months, after the actor accused his ex of “emotional abuse” and claimed that Louetta has been left “traumatised”. The couple began their relationship in 2022 and announced that they were expecting their first child together that same year. Their daughter, Louetta Isley Thomas Willis, was born on April 18, 2023.The couple separated a year later, with Willis publicly confirming their split in August 2024.
