Billy Ray Cyrus has been mostly silent about his private life for the past couple of years. However, in a recent interview, the famous country singer revealed how she once had to deal with a major health crisis. Not only that, but he also detailed that his daughter, Noah Cyrus, was a big help to him at the time.
Billy Ray Cyrus talks about the health crisis
The 64-year-old recently sat down with PEOPLE where she revealed that she once suffered a severe case of sepsis. He detailed how the disease caused him many other problems, one of which was inflammation throughout his body. “I don’t know exactly how it evolved. It was my worst nightmare. Two years before that, my mother died in that hospital, on the floor where I was.“He added, “I got really sick and almost died, and when I was trying to stay alive, sometimes they sent me home from the hospital…”, also sharing that he also developed vocal paralysis at one point. He further added, “But my body was exploding [with] some toxicity. If it had exploded, I would have died. At the last minute, a prayer was answered.”He later shared that he faced a miracle in his treatment after doctors said he was getting better. “There, they were going to do one last operation. I got to the hospital [and] they said: ‘Mr. Cyrus is gone. He is cured.” I had a miracle.”
Billy Ray Cyrus says his daughter Noah Cyrus saved his life
Later in the interview, he explained that one of the reasons he thinks he is getting better behind him was his 26-year-old daughter Noah Cyrus. “Noah has one song that has honestly saved my life, it’s called Don’t Put It All On Me,” she said.In addition, his grandson Hartza was also a great inspiration to be able to improve. “At this very broken time in my life, my little grandson Hartz [son of Braison Cyrus] he looked at me and said, ‘Try again,'” Cyrus recalled. “And up until that point, he never spoke to me. I wasn’t sure if he knew my name. At that moment I thought: “He’s telling you something.” Is it about love? Music? Somehow I have to try again at both. So I’m trying again”, he added.
