Akshay Kumar ‘Bhooth Bangla’ is gearing up for the release of his next film this week. Before that, the Central Board of Film Certification has cleared the horror comedy with some changes. As reported, the makers of the film completed the certification process well in advance to avoid any problems.
CBFC It gives Akshay Kumar starrer UA 16+ rating
According to Bollywood Hungama report, Central Board of Film Certification has given ‘Bhooth Bangla’ U/A 16+ rating. However, the committee also ordered the producers to make some changes. Reportedly, an obscenity was removed, which was included in the film. The Board also requested that the set of obscene words be replaced. Towards the end, the filmmakers were ordered to remove an obscene word from the film’s subtitle.The offensive remark about women in the first half should have been changed. They also had to add warning notices for scenes related to religion and superstition.After making all the changes, the movie ‘Bhooth Bangla’ received the censor certificate on 2nd April. According to the certificate, the total duration of the film is 2 hours, 54 minutes and 57 seconds. A few days later, the filmmakers went back to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on their own and made additional cuts to the film. The CBFC approved these cuts on April 11. In total, 63 scenes were cut. Most of the cuts were short, one or a few seconds. The biggest cut was 1 minute and 12 seconds, taken from a scene in the song ‘O Sundari’. Another 27 seconds were removed from the song ‘O Re O Sawariya’.

The maximum cut was 72 seconds, which is 1 minute and 12 seconds, when a scene from the song ‘O Sundari’ was deleted. 27 seconds were also removed from the song ‘O Re O Sawariya’.In this way, the duration of Bhooth Bangla was reduced by 10 minutes and 5 seconds. The revised duration is 164.52 minutes, which is 2 hours 44 minutes and 52 seconds.
