The Allahabad High Court on Friday issued a notice to the two accused in the Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey death case, on a plea seeking a CBI probe, and fixed May 22 for hearing the matter.The verdict was due later in the day, but the court said a new hearing is necessary on some points.Akanksha’s mother filed a complaint that she killed her daughter Samar Singh and Sanjay Singh.Akanksha’s body was found in a hotel in Sarnath, Varanasi in 2023. Police said it was a case of suicide.The actor’s mother, who had raised questions about the police investigation, had sought a CBI probe, saying her death was not a suicide but a murder.Justices Sidharth and Vinai Kumar Dwivedi issued notices to Samar Singh alias Samarjeet Singh and Sanjay Singh.He also asked the Sarnath Station House officer to submit an affidavit against him, who will appear before the court on May 22.
