Harsh Dubey Expressed his excitement at sharing the dressing room with Indian cricket legends. Virat Kohli And Rohit Sharma After receiving his first call-up to the senior national team. The 23-year-old Vidarbha and Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder was named in both India’s ODI and Test squads for the upcoming home series against Afghanistan.The youngster admitted that it took him several minutes to process the news, especially the prospect of sharing the dressing room with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, two players he has admired throughout his cricketing journey.“If you ask any young cricketer who they want to play with right now, the first two names would be Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. I grew up watching them. Ever since I started understanding cricket, they have been performing for India and dominating world cricket.” So, getting a chance to play with them is a huge achievement for me,” Dubey said on Geostar.“I have always wanted to play with at least one legend before he retires or whenever his last phase comes,” he added. Even if I get a chance to play a match with them, it will be a dream come true moment for me. Dubey revealed that he found out about his selection through a freak misunderstanding when he was waiting for a flight delay at the Chennai airport with his SRH teammates. Speaking to JioStar, Dubey recalled receiving a phone call from a sports social media manager asking how it felt to be selected in the ODI team. “We had reached the airport and found out that our flight was delayed by an hour. I got a call from someone who manages a cricket social media page, asking how I felt about my name in the ODI series. Because of the noise in the lounge and the network issues, I thought he was referring to the Sri Lanka A ODI tri-series, so I said that I feel like I’m one step closer to that dream and focused on it. I am IPL.“As soon as I hung up, I started getting messages that I had received call-ups for both Tests and ODIs. I was confused because the squad had just been announced, so I quickly checked online and saw the news. It honestly took me a few minutes to process it. Even when Murali sir asked me who the other spinners in the squad were, I realized it was just my name. I was dreaming,” said Dubey.
