The Walt Disney Co. held a blockbuster presentation showing new footage from ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ along with other films. Robert Downey Jr. was there to present the trailer for the film that unites the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four in the MCU for the first time.

According to the tweets, the trailer begins at the X-Men mansion, with Professor X reacting to an explosion outside, while Doom is seen making a dramatic entrance into the mansion’s courtyard, announcing impending doom and suggesting the heroes must make an “unthinkable decision.”The image also shows a crossover of characters and teams such as the Fantastic Four, the New Avengers and Sam Wilson’s Avengers, all together inside Avengers Tower, now sporting a redesigned “New Avengers” logo. Elsewhere, a striking visual shows a desert-like landscape, which is actually the ocean floor, split by Namor, where the Fantastic Four meet the Wakandans.

Several action sequences drew particular attention, including Channing Tatum’s Gambit facing off against Shang-Chi, and Mystique before battling Yelena. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will be one of Marvel’s most ambitious projects to date. The makers also confirmed a December 18 release, setting it up for a clash with ‘Dune: Part Three’ at the box office.
