Tovino Thomas starrer ‘Athiradi’ continues to hold its place at the box office despite stiff competition from Mohanlal’s ‘Drishyam 3’. The film received a healthy jump on the second Saturday.According to Sacnilk, ‘Athiradi’ collected Rs 1.34 crore on day 10 in India. The figure represents a 41.1 percent increase from the Rs 95 lakh earned on the 95th day. The film was screened in 849 shows on Saturday.
Worldwide collection touches 59.06 million
‘Athiradi’s net collection in India has reached 30.44 crores. The gross collection in India now stands at 35.31 crores after ten days in theatres. The foreign market has also played a major role in the film’s performance. Athiradi has earned 23.75 crores so far from international territories. The film’s worldwide gross collection has risen to 59.06 crores.The film collected 28.15 million euros in the first week. After earning 1.08 crores on day 8 and 95 lakhs on day 9, the second Saturday growth has given a fresh boost for the coming days.
Occupancy improves during the day
“Athiradi” registered an overall Malayalam occupancy of 36.51 percent on Day 10.Morning shows had 18.58 percent occupancy. The numbers improved for the afternoon and evening shows, which recorded 31.75 percent and 36.08 percent occupancy respectively.Night shows were the strongest segment of the day with a whopping 55 percent occupancy. Kerala contributed Rs 1.25 crore to the film’s 10th day gross of Rs 1.48 crore.Karnataka added Rs 12 lakh while Tamil Nadu generated Rs 7 lakh. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana contributed Rs 1 lakh and Rest of India Rs 3 lakh.
