Assam Rifles Recruitment 2026: Assam Rifles has invited offline applications for recruitment under Compassionate Ground Appointment Scheme 2026. The recruitment drive is aimed at family members of Assam Rifles personnel killed in action, died in service, medically discharged, or missing in service. Last date for submission of applications is 11 May 2026.Office of Director General Assam Rifles, Shillong issued notification on 6th April 2026. A total of 117 vacancies have been announced in various trades including Rifleman General Duty, Clerk and Technical Posts. Candidates are required to send their completed application form through offline mode within the stipulated date.Vacancy details in multiple tradesThere are 95 vacancies available for Rifleman or Riflewoman General Duty in the advertised vacancies. Other vacancies include six posts for Warrant Officer Cipher and three posts for Havaldar Clerk. Vacancies have also been announced for trades like Electrical Fitter Signal, Lineman Field, Armourer, Recovery Vehicle Mechanic, Electrician Mechanic Vehicle, Metal Smith, Mason, Store Keeper Technical, Vehicle Mechanic and Engineer Equipment Mechanic.The recruitment rally is scheduled to be held in July or August 2026 at Lokerha, Assam. The exact dates of the Jalsa will be intimated to the candidates through registered email or post.Eligibility and Age CriteriaApplicants should be family members of Assam Rifles officers belonging to the specified service category. These include personnel killed in action, died in service, medically discharged and missing in service. Only one dependent family member per eligible case is allowed to apply.The age limit varies according to the post and ranges between 18 to 23 years or 25 years. The cut-off date for age calculation is 1 January 2026. Age relaxation will be provided as per prescribed norms.Candidates applying for the recruitment process must have passed class 10th. Additional trade certificate, ITI qualification or diploma required for related technical posts.Application Process and Required DocumentsApplicants must submit self-attested copies of educational certificates, domicile certificate, caste certificate, trade certificate, and valid photo identity proof along with the application form.
