Virat Kohli Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) led the chase with a steady knock to beat Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) by five wickets in their IPL match on Wednesday.Chasing 147, Kohli gave RCB a strong start and scored 49 off 34 balls with six fours and a six. He looked set for his 66th IPL half-century but was caught out by Nicholas Pooran for 49. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (3/27) and Krunal Pandya (2/38) also picked up wickets, while Josh Hazlewood bagged one.After being asked to bat, LSG were bowled out for 146, their lowest total of the season. Mitchell Marsh scored 40 off 32 balls and Ayush Baduni scored 38 off 24 balls.In the chase, Rajat Patidar (27) and Jitesh Sharma (23) added quick runs as RCB reached 149 for 5 in 15.1 overs.Prince Yadav (32/3) and Avish Khan (2/23) took the wickets for LSG.The defending champions are on top with eight points from five matches. On the other hand, LSG are seventh with four points from as many matches.
