Anushka Sharma credits homeopathy for her health journey
Sharing the video on social media, Anushka spoke about the role homeopathy has played in her life and praised Dr. Rajan Sankaran’s approach to health and wellness.“Homeopathy played an important role in my life and Dr. Rajan Sankaran has been instrumental in that journey. I really value his insights on health and conscious living,” she wrote.The video focused on homeopathy’s place in modern healthcare and advocated cooperation between different medical systems instead of competition.
Rajan Sankaran calls for integrated medicine
During the discussion, Rajan Sankaran argued that homeopathy should be seen as part of a wider healthcare ecosystem and agreed that no medical system has boundaries.“Homeopathy does not treat conditions, it treats people. It cures people by treating them. By curing people, it also cures their pathologies. Homeopathy can treat everyone. But can it cure everyone? Like all systems, it has limitations,” he said.He also noted that patients suffering from conditions such as multiple sclerosis, allergies and eczema are sometimes referred for homeopathic treatment and emphasized the importance of integrated medicine.“We live in the age of integrated medicine. We are not here to prove superiority or inferiority. It’s not either-or anymore. We need to know the strengths and limitations of each system,” he added.
The Liver Doc criticizes the message
The video drew a scathing response from Cyriac hepatologist Abby Philips, known online as The Liver Doc, who has been a vocal critic of homeopathy.Responding to the post, he hit out at Rajan Sankaran, Namita Thapar and Anushka Sharma, referring to it as the “triangle of shame”.“Supplier Dealer – Legalized Quack – Illiterate Celebrity,” he wrote in a strongly worded post.The doctor also repeated his criticism of homeopathy, arguing that its remedies do not contain active drugs.“Homeopathy is ‘medicine’ made of water, alcohol, and sugar. So you’re paying great prices for fancy sugar pills that actually have no medicine,” he wrote.Anushka Sharma’s admission has brought the long-running debate about homeopathy back into the spotlight. While proponents say homeopathy has helped many patients and should be considered alongside other forms of treatment, critics say its claims are not supported by strong scientific evidence.
