Anurag Kashyap theaters for prioritizing “obsession” with Indian films
Anurag Kashyap, who is receiving wide praises for his film ‘Bandar’, is far from the box office at present. The director took to his Instagram stories to express his frustration, noting how ‘Obsession’, a huge Hollywood blockbuster, continues to get prime time slots in theaters while home movies struggle for scraps. Kashyap, who seems to be in Bengaluru at the moment, made his displeasure very clear through his post.

He wrote, “I understand that everyone wants to watch OBSESSION, but it can still be longer with smaller shows. If we don’t prioritize our films with better exposure, then I don’t understand how we will grow. Last week it was with BANDAR, this week with MAIN VAPIS AUNGA, SING GHEETAM and GOVERNER. Maybe we will have another show of MVA and GOVER and another show in the morning. SING GHEETAM in Bengaluru OBSESSION IS in 6-7 shows.
