Tamil filmmaker-actor In Vijay Kumar Rajendra and his wife Nakshatra Murthy have taken legal action against Malayalam actor Anugraha S Nambiar over recent allegations related to the web series ‘Resort’. The issue became a hot topic on social media after Anugraha accused the team of not paying her and also talked about verbal abuse. After the controversy, Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra strongly denied all claims made against them. Their lawyer has now released an official public notice apologizing to Anugraha and producer AB Sharon within 48 hours.
Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra deny all the allegations
According to the legal notice issued by their lawyer J. Jerome Joseph, the statements shared by Anugraha and Sharon on YouTube, Instagram and other social media platforms are false, baseless and defamatory. The advertisement mentions that the couple’s reputation and professional image were affected by these accusations. It also clearly states that Vijay Kumar has no financial or contractual liability with Anugraha, disclaiming all claims for unpaid fees. The lawyer further said that the allegations were made recklessly and with an intention to damage the public image of Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra.
48 hour period to request a public apology
The legal notice demanded that Anugraha and Sharon immediately stop making defamatory statements against the couple. It also asks them to remove all related videos and social media posts from all platforms. Most importantly, they have been given 48 hours to issue an unconditional public apology. The advertisement claims that the controversy caused mental aggravation, humiliation in society and loss in professional endeavors for Vijay Kumar and Nakshathra. A Hindustan Times report also says that civil and criminal cases have been filed against Anugraha and Sharon in a Coimbatore court. If they do not comply with the notice, the couple plans to pursue further legal proceedings.

The controversy surrounding the JioHotstar web series ‘Resort’ has become one of the most talked about topics on the web since last week. Earlier, Anugraha posted several videos making allegations against Vijay Kumar, Nakshathra and the producers of the serial. However, after the issue grew and legal action was initiated, he later removed the videos from his social media pages. Reports suggested that Anugraha also mentioned that she did not have the financial support to continue a legal battle.
