Magazine, Head shared the romantic story of their first meeting. “I was doing a play called Danton’s Death and for the last act I had to come as a soldier leading traitors to the guillotine,” he recalled. “I’d be waiting in a back corridor with my musket and one day this lovely lady walked by bringing a pint of beer to a guy in front of the house.“Head explained that he had arrived earlier and earlier, hoping to see her again. Eventually, they sat and chatted in front of his scenes. When the production ended, Fisher tried to call her backstage, but she had already left. Luckily, someone passed on his phone number. “Two weeks later the phone rang, it was him,” Fisher said. “We met that night and we’ve been together ever since.”Despite their long relationship, Head revealed to The Mirror in January 2012 that they never married. “I have asked him to marry me several times, but he is not interested,” he said then.
