Anne Hathaway is amazing as an actress, but to become a pop star, she had to seek some tips to land the role. In a new interview, the actor revealed that he took advice from Charlie XCX to get into character.
Anne Hathaway took Charlie XCX’s advice
While speaking to the crowd, the ‘Devil Wears Prada’ star revealed that she had collected Charli XCX’s vision. “The person I talked to was Charli … I wanted to talk to her about the music, she wrote such amazing music that I was going to perform it,” Hathaway told the outlet. “But I also asked him a lot of questions about what his life was like, what his experience of being a pop star was like.”

While filming, Hathaway gained a lot of respect from pop singers. “I’ve realized about pop stars that they’re endurance athletes who can do anything in platform heels,” she said, adding: “They’re the most charming people on the planet, and they have this crazy self-confidence, like they’re so driven to share what’s inside.”On the contrary, Hathaway said, less vulnerability is required of her as an actress; instead, he likes to share what’s inside him through a filter. As such, she has ruled out a future career as a pop star: “I can’t see that happening,” she joked.The film’s score features original songs by Charli XCX, FKA Twigs and Jack Antonoff, with the latter two also producing.
