Shiloh Jolie previously filed a legal petition to remove her father’s surname after turning 18. Meanwhile, Zahara Jolie recently received her bachelor’s degree with the name ‘Zahara Jolie’. Meanwhile, Vivienne Jolie also dropped ‘Pitt’ from her name in a list credited for the Broadway play. It is still unclear whether Zahara and Vivienne legally changed their names.Maddox’s legal request has yet to be formally accepted by the court.The developments come amid reports of a strained relationship between Pitt and his children, following the actor’s highly publicized split with Jolie in 2016. While the couple’s divorce was finalized in 2024, they are still fighting over ownership of their French winery, Chateau Miraval.According to a report in the Daily Mail, sources close to Pitt said that the continued public scrutiny of his relationship with his children has been difficult for the actor. “When you’ve made it clear that you’re distancing yourself from the kids, no reasonable person can then complain about not being around the kids,” a source told the outlet.Additional sources defended Pitt against the allegations, saying he has continued to rebuild his relationship with his six children. “Those closest to him, including his friends and family, do not judge him for any of this because they know that he is really trying his best under incredibly difficult circumstances,” the report reads.Family tensions reportedly resurfaced after Pitt’s mother, Jane Etta Pitt, died last year at the age of 84.
