In a recent interview, Ameesha Patel shared a quirky memory from the shoot of “Humraaz”. Bobby Deolwhere a serious climax sequence took an unexpected comedic turn. Ameesha Patel recalls shooting ‘Humraaz’ with Bobby Deol
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha Patel opened up about shooting Humraaz with Bobby and shared that it was difficult for the audience to see her in his arms, even though she was called Sunny Deol’s ‘property’. He reflected on how much audiences connect with certain roles, saying, “Some characters become so etched in people’s hearts and memories that they blur the line between real life and spin. Gadar was just released, and Tara and Sakeena were getting a lot of love from everyone. I was shooting Humraaz in Jaipur Fort. It was the climax scene where I had to shoot Akshaye Khanna with a shot and Bobby Deol had to hug me”.

The serious scene quickly took a humorous turn as the excited crowd reacted. “A crowd gathered to watch the shoot. There were ropes to control the crowd, the police were there, and people couldn’t cross and reach the set. But, there was so much audience during the shoot, the three actors were there, so it was very exciting for them. However, when Bobby came to hug me, the audience started shouting loudly, ‘Let ta amahaat haiara, Sin Yeh te amahaat kira haiari. amaanat hai. Vo Pakistan se leke aaya hai usse, chorr Sakeena ko (Leave Sakeena, she is your brother’s partner, she brought him from Pakistan),” he shared.The actor added, “It was a bittersweet and happy feeling as well, that people loved Tara and Sakeena so much that they couldn’t stomach someone else coming into their lives. But, it was also funny, because after all it was a movie, not real life. It was pretty funny. We were all serious, crying during the scene, but we all started laughing, including the directors and actors. I joked with Bobby, “I won’t hug you now, mai aapke bhai ki amaanat hu, yeh samajh lo aap (I belong to your brother).”“
Ameesha Patel recalls Sunny Deol’s dhaba love
Sharing another memory from the sets of ‘Gadar’ with Sunny, he recalled, “Sunny ji loves dhaba food – raw milk etc. We were driving from Dalhousie to Pathankot for the shoot. He asked me to sit in his car so he could listen to music and travel. We were passing a dhaba and he said he will take me to try all these things”.Ameesha Patel continued, “So we stopped at the dhaba and were sitting in the car. A cute guy came to give us food and tea on a tray. When Sunny rolled down the window to pick it up, the guy was in shock. Sunny ji was a big star. That boy was looking at the TV and then he was watching his movie directly. He said, ‘Sunny ji kaise do-do jagah?’ The tray fell from our hands, the whole food fell from us.’
