Minimum height is 165 cm and minimum weight is 50 kg. Chest measurement should be 76 cm normal and 81 cm with at least 5 cm expansion. Vision should be 6/6 without glasses, with no color blindness or astigmatism. Candidates should be free from flat feet, knock knees, pigeon chest or other physical defects.Academic merit and weightage systemMinimum qualification is SSC pass. Merit calculation is based on several weighted components. SSC marks convert to 100 maximum. HSC contains 25 marks. An engineering diploma or degree provides 40 to 50 marks depending on the branch preference in mechanical, automobile or electrical streams. Fire related courses like ITI Fireman, Fire Technology Diploma or Fire Engineering degree carry 25 to 100 marks. NCC certificates carry 10 marks for A, 15 for B and 25 for C. Basic computer knowledge as CCC provides 10 marks.Selection process and application procedureSelection includes a physical performance test covering long jump, high jump, running and swimming events with performance-based scoring. The final merit PET score is calculated by combining the academic weightage. Shortlisted candidates undergo medical examination for vision and physical criteria.
